Getting A New Puppy?
The best way to set up for success is to be prepared BEFORE the puppy comes home! I will spend as much time as needed to go through everything you need to know from setting up your house to what toys to get.
Puppy 101
Once the puppy has arrived, it’s extremely important to learn about your animal. It’s not a new baby, it’s a dog and dogs have a very different psychology then humans. I will teach you dog psychology so that you can effectively communicate better with your new puppy. Once you know the psychology, training becomes easier!
Leash Walking
One of the best ways to build a bond with your dog is mastering “The Walk”. If done correctly, the walk can create a fulfilling partnership between dog and owner. This is vital in establishing trust and control.
Basic to Complex Behavior
Once you understand dog psychology, anything can be achieved. From simple commands to more challenging behavior, if you listen to (and practice) my techniques and you put the time and work in, you will achieve a balanced dog. Some common issues are:
Aggression – toward people or other dogs
Barking
Basic obedience commands (sit, stay, come)
Biting/Nipping
